TRANSGENDER PROPAGANDA DISPROVEN

PMT 2017-052 by Liberty Council

A recent study released from Israel’s Weizmann Institute of Science refutes propaganda from LGBT activists who detach gender completely from sex and promote that men can become so-called “women” by merely “identifying” as female, and vice-versa.

Professor Shmuel Pietrokovski and Dr. Moran Gershoni, both researchers from the Weizmann Institute’s Molecular Genetics Department, “looked closely at around 20,000 protein-coding genes, sorting them by sex and searching for differences in expression in each tissue. They eventually identified around 6,500 genes with activity that was biased toward one sex or the other in at least one tissue, adding to the already major biological differences between men and women.” Continue reading

HOMOSEXUAL DIFFERENCES UNBRIDGEABLE

PMT 2017-051 by Denny Burk (The Aquila Report)

David Gushee has a column at Religion News Service about Jonathan Merritt, Jen Hatmaker, and LGBT “inclusion” within the church. Gushee says that he exited evangelicalism 30 months ago, and since then he has concluded this:

I now believe that incommensurable differences in understanding the very meaning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the interpretation of the Bible, and the sources and methods of moral discernment, separate many of us from our former brethren – and that it is best to name these differences clearly and without acrimony, on the way out the door. CHRISTIAN LIBERTY AND ALCOHOL ADDICTION

PMT 2017-038 By Mischelle Sandowich (Reformed Health)

Note from Ken Gentry:
When I have posted articles on the Christian and alcoholic beverages (as an aspect of the Christian worldview), I have received a good number of email inquiries. Apparently there is an interest in the question, so once again I will post an article on the topic by my friend Mischelle Sandowich.

As Christians with liberty, we are free to drink alcohol under three conditions:

• Abstain from drunkenness
• Avoid alcohol addiction
• Do not harm a weaker brother

We’ve addressed Christian Liberty and Drunkenness here and now we will consider Christian Liberty and Alcohol Addiction. Continue reading

GAY CONVERSION THERAPY?

PMT 2017-033 by Christopher Doyle (Christian Post)

On March 10, ABC’s “20/20” aired a year-long investigation on several “Christian camps” reported to be practicing so-called “gay conversion therapy.” Shockingly, the exposé revealed unspeakable abuse and torture by several unlicensed “pastors” operating reform schools for troubled youth, some of whom identified as gay or lesbian.

Unfortunately, ABC was more sensational than accurate in their reporting when comparing these rogue, abusive camps to licensed therapy for youth struggling with unwanted same-sex attractions and gender confusion, a practice that gay activists have aggressively sought to shut down in more than 25 states and cities across the country. HEALTH BENEFITS OF WINE

PMT 2017-032 by Mischelle Sandowich (Reformed Health)

Wine is a gift to the human race. What makes wine a gift and not a curse? The answer is in the benefits of wine for your health and emotional well-being. So far we have looked at wine solely from a biblical perspective, but today we will look at 18 science based benefits of wine. If you’ve missed the previous posts, to date we have:

• noted that there are three basic views on alcohol use in the Bible: prohibitionist; abstentionist; and moderationist
• demonstrated that wine in the Bible contained alcohol
• shown one of the benefits of wine is its natural ability to ferment into alcohol – which brings joy to the heart
• provided 14 reasons that God approves the drinking of wine
• and shared 30 warnings in the Bible against drunkenness

Today we will talk about the health benefits of wine from a scientific approach. Continue reading

THE COLLAPSE OF MEANING

collapse-of-meaningPMT 2017-015 by Rev. Charles H Roberts D.Min.

Authority and sovereignty are unavoidable realities in life. And by definition when something or someone is sovereign, or has absolute authority, no one or nothing else is (or has).

It is the Reformed-Protestant Christian understanding that Holy Scripture, the written Word of God, speaks with authority concerning everything about which it speaks….and that it speaks about everything.

An individual, a family, a church, or a social and political order that is based on the principles and worldview of Scripture will be unique therefore regarding important issues that concern people, families, and societies. Continue reading

NOT “UNDER LAW”? (2)

foundations-destroyedPMT 2016-092 by Kenneth L. Gentry, Jr.

This article continues and concludes the previous one. I am showing that the New Testament does not set aside God’s law as a righteous standard for all men.

Paul’s Liberty in Christ
We must comment on the meaning of his tricky statement.

First, when Paul refers to Christ’s “law” he appears to mean Christ’s “authority” (cp. Mt. 28:18; Eph. 1:21; Phil. 2:9-10; Col. 1:17-1) — not a new system of laws and obligations. Paul is under Christ’s lordship; he is Christ’s servant or slave (1 Cor. 9:16-17; 7:22). Continue reading
